Vortech input, model for my 90?

I know a few of you are running Vortechs, I'm getting sick and tired of Koralia's failing and zapping me, so I suspect that new circulation pumps will be my next big purchase.

Standard 90, 48"x18"x25ish, I'm not sure what I should be getting. Would 2xMP20 or 1xMP40 be better? Would 1 single MP40 be decent enough for a mixed reef tank?

I would go with 1 mp40w. I had one on a 55 worked fine. You'll love it. Only thing buy a heater to keep temp up.

Looking at getting a few MP40w's myself. Heard more good than bad, I don't plan to get them used though as it seems the warranty comes in handy and there was a bad batch made at one time - if you buy used and get one of the bad ones it will cost money. TB Aquatics has the best new prices I've found - add an MP40w to the cart and you'll see.

Cool. I think 1 will get me started, and if it's not enough, I'll just add another one eventually. Was looking at the new ones also, I'd read enough about them that I think getting a warranty, and making sure it's a Gen 2 version should help.

I would definitely try an MP40w. If that doesn't do it, add another.
