vortech is chirping

Kigs

In Memoriam
I had it aligned perfectly and silently but I had to move it. Ever since then, it "chirps" sometimes loud, sometimes quietly, and when I move it around a bit, it stops but continues afterawhile. Any solutions?

You may want to break down the wet side, thoroughly clean then reassemble. It may just need a good cleaning. If that does not help send it in and we will get the problem corrected. Our e-mail for service is ecotechmarineservice@gmail.com

Would a vinegar bath do the trick?

And nope, not pleasant. More like a fork scraping against a dish. Painful. It's good that it's not constant, it comes and goes.

If cleaning does not get rid of the noise send the pump into us for servicing. Address is Icecap 9B South Gold Drive Hamilton NJ 08691. We always do a 1-2 day turn around on pumps.

Well, I was going to do a cleaning on the wetside but I've located the source of the chirping noise. It comes solely from the dry side.

As the dry side vibrates, I've noticed that it slowly migrates away from the rubber pad that it's sitting on. Another factor that made the chirping worse was when the electrical wire was pushed back, pulling the vortech slightly off from the pad. Even with the wire holder and few pieces of duct tape holding down the wire, the noise continues. The only way I've figured out that stops the noise completely is to push the dry side down. Any solutions?
