Vortech is it suitable for 940gal tank ?

My friend have a 12f(L) x 3f(W) x 3.5f(H) tank in making . Just going to ask is it Vortech MP40w able to handle such big tank ? Keeping for soft coral and LPS only . Kindly need your advice or how many pumps will enough for this big tank ? Thanks .

i would start with at least 4

for a tank this big you really can't skimp on any of your equipment, lighting, circulation, etc. I would say start with at least 4 but I personally wouldn't have fewer than 6 MP40w's or even 8 for awesome flow on that tank.

With 8 pumps total I'd have 2 on each side and 4 along the back wall, with 6 total I'd have 1 on each side and 4 along the back wall.

Thanks for the reply Tim . is it possible to special order Vortech pump with extended wiring at least 12 feet long that connected motor to the controller ?
