I'd like to know how everyone has their pumps positioned on their tank. Please post tank size, number of pumps, pump positioning, and pump setting (reef crest, pulse, lagoon).

I run two pumps on the back wall. I have a "spare" that I run on one side. I love the flow on that side. Thinking about getting another pump for the other side.

Yay im the first vote for 1 pump on 1 end of tank. But anyway, yes i am running 1 pump on 1 end but that will change soon. Ill be upgrading from my 40breeder to a 75g. I will then change to 2pumps 1 on each end or both on back wall.

I have 3 pumps on my 330g (6x4x2). Two on one end, one on the other. All 3 are set for reef crest mode at 100%. The two on the same side are sync'd (one is the master) and the one pump on the other side is set to anti-sync.

4 pumps on a 350, 8 X 30 X 30, 2 back; lagoon, anti-sync, 2 sides opposed; reef crest anti-sync.

I have two pumps on my 5 foot long 125; one on each end of the tank. Both are in reef crest with no master pump.

My Vortech runs at 75% in Reefcrest mode. It is on the back of the tank and I have two moded MaxiJet600s, one on each side of the tank. The MaxiJets 900 and 1200 were a bit too much. I also have a MaxiJet 1200 in the rock work. I get a really nice choppy wave which moves back and forth across the tank. The MaxiJets are on a wavemaker.

I have one pump on one end of a 120g 4'X2'X2'. These pumps are magnificent. Before this I had 2 maxi 1200 with mods, one at each end of the tank and this pump produces tons more flow then they did. This has to be one the the best things I have bought for my tank beside an Aqua C skimmer.
Thanx Ecotech.

On my 75 I have one on the end pointed horizontally across the tank, and the other on the bottom opposite end pointed vertically up at the water surface.

The one on the side is in pulse mode, and the one on the bottom is an original I run at about 75% speed.

There is a tunze wavebox in the tank as well. I have matched the wave frequency but the periods go in and out of sync. So I get an alternating big wave action following a calm.

i have two facing each other horizontally across the tank. they are both in reef crest, both master on 75%. i think ill go back to 50 because its making too much noise. i have a 4' tank btw.
