OK, just to update. Perhaps this time actually was my fault 
. Upon closer inspection of the wet side, I noticed a small "crunching" sound when I turned the prop. Well, I have been doing some major cleaning in my system lately, and at one point a LOT of scale from inside my closed loop pipes was flying around the tank. I'm thinking a small chunk/piece somehow found its way into the wet assemply. A two day soak in vinegar, and the unit now working, seems to confirm this. Hopefully I'm in the clear. Thanks again for the call Tim, and a great explanation of the unit and what can and can't really go wrong with it.
