Vortech user

I know nearly nothing about Vortechs, but does this mean you'll be able to use them without the vortech control box (and therefore save a bunch of money), or does it simply mean that by tying their control box back to your other controller you get more functionality?

Holy crap! That is awesome! I have no doubt DA will take advantage of this! And Neptune, too, I'm sure. :)

Thanks for sharing, Zef!

And I have to say... bravo to Vortech! I think this is a great move on their part. Good stuff!

I saw this on the DA website!! This is indeed awesome news! It will be interesting to see how the controller manufacturers will decide to implement.

I am safely assuming this will only work on the MP40. :( Leaves us Nano MP10 users out. Probably means I will need to ubgrade. ;)

Oh man... if they made it compatible with MP20's and MP10s, I would be ECSTATIC!!!

Why do you think it will only work with MP40's? Did I miss that somewhere?

Brandon

No, nothing missed. Considering no mention was made to any limitation of model, any assumption is premature. C'mon guys, they jsut announced an SDK for their stuff..no controller manufacturer has even signed up to use it...yet...slow down hahaha.

"The vast benefits of the controller are emerging as companies take interest and start working with the development kit."

Maybe they have started... ;) But I'm not expecting anything for 1 to 1.5 years at least... and even then probably only an announcement from DA. MACNA 2010 maybe... heh.

Ecotech vortech kit is going to be wireless for the mp40w.For now. This been in the works already for a year now at echtech lab. Now we got wait on the controller comp. And see what they are going to do with it now. So maybe by The end of the summer it should starting to see them comeing out hopeful

I expected that...:-) It is also foolish to think that other mfg's aren't already in as far or farther....it just hasn't been announced...yet...;-) It would also be very foolish to rush to market and ship a product with issues. Q1 is a very aggressive date. I hope of they do ship that it does not have the problems even their regular firmware have caused. It was a pain when DA had it's stage of that last year.

Well, the wonderful thing is that I believe this pushes DA to do one without a doubt, although when would become the question. :)
