Wabebox completely submerged

Because of my tank setup, I can only place the wavebox about one inch below the waterline, is the wavebox going to work correctly?

I doubt it will work well as the pump will just suck water into the top and as such you will not get any resonance built up.

But Rogfer can confirm:-)
 
you should not have a problem the box water level line is about an inch below the top of the box. if you have a 2" wave water would hit the top on the high point of the wave and air is drawn as the wave subside so i do not see that you would have a problem
 
No, completely submerged it won't work. The Wavebox must be able to empty and refill. The water displacement it creates is what produces the wave.

totally misread post i thought you were 1 inch above the water line definately no go on that setup
 
It will work kind of, in my opinion it isn't worth having one in this situation as the wave will be very small and not too effective.
