Wachuko's 210gal AGA reef build journal

Queen Conches also moves the sand over very very well, but they are bulldozers. I like them and have 12 in my tank, I just need to make sure my frags are well secured.

Added 24 snails, a Phos Reactor, did a water change, not going to use the T5's for a while, and programmed shorter light cycles. I hope that does it...

I moved a few rocks around... moved the rocks in the right side that were touching the class and still need to move some from the left side that I left touching the glass... did not think about the cleaning part when I put those rocks there... duh!

So far everything doing well...

Tank looks great!!! Dory is getting huge, bigger than Bubbles already.

Name of the one I gave you (for your records):
Cabbage Leather Coral
The Cabbage Leather Coral is also referred to as Flat Leather Coral, Flower Leather Coral, or Carpet Coral.

Gracias Cesar!! The Cabbage Leather Coral is completly open now. Really likes her new home.

I need to update the list with the names of the other corals I got yesterday.

Also ordered a few things to make a refugium out of the Wet/Dry filter I have.

And got a few books:

A PocketExpert Guide to Marine Fishes: 500+ Essential-To-Know Aquarium Species by Scott W. Michael

A PocketExpert Guide to Marine Invertebrates: 500+ Essential-to-Know Aquarium Species by Ronald L. Shimek

Ultimate Marine Aquariums: Saltwater Dream Systems and How They Are Created by Michael S. Paletta

nice video. your Yellow is a camera hog :D

hehehee, he is. The blue tang is the shy one. The two get along so well.

A few more photos. I am just starting this project... to see how the tanks of a lot of the folks here are, really puts my patience skills to the test... it takes so long from that little piece of frag to reach the size of some of the amazing pieces I have seen in the threads...

Long Tentacle Anemone is very happy in this rock... has not moved since day one... even after moving the rock from the 72 to the 210.

Everything (the frags) came from my friend's 55gal reef. rrigau in the Florida Marine Aquarium Society (FMAS) - Miami/Ft. Lauderdale
forum section. THANK YOU Ricky! Here are a few photos of his tank:

And stuff I find... not sure where this came from and what type of star it is (I do hope is a star, and a harmless one at that...)

Closer look:

I was amazed as to how quickly it moves...

Long time with no updates Wachuko, your tank looks great.
Now, that star looks like an asterina star, just a little bit darker than normal, and if that's the case they're harmless, consider them as part of your cleaning crew, but be careful with them 'cause they procreate like crazy, they can be easily removed from the tank if desired, when attached to the glass.
Maybe someone else can identify it in case it is not an asterina star.

Oye!! There are a few corals that have grown quickly, let me know if there is anything you want.

Nice upgrade, looks like everything went smoothly.
Have you thought about a closed loop for some flow? Like a om 4way with a reeflo dart, that seems to be the most common setup for a CL
