wafer algae

Hi! to everyone:

need help, I have brown wafer algae on my overflows. I can peel them off but I do not want some of the algae free floating to establish itself on the rocks. Is there a fish (rabbit fishes) that will eat this algae.

thanks,

Dan

I haven't tried it yet but I've been told a Naso tang will eat this stuff. I have this crap on some of my rocks....

I remove as much as possible. When I re-design the tank I will add a small Blonde Naso to see if it helps.
I've had this for over a year and while it hasn't caused any problems it does look like crap.
Good luck

wafer algae

thanks Sharkey:

My tank has been up for a year & about a month ago I noticed this algae on both coner overflows. I have a mud filter with chaeto & mangrove plants. The only thing that has been different is I started feeding cyclopese to the fish, maybe that started this algae?

thanks again,

Dan
