What a treat to be able to make it out there! Is the first pic the tank thats open to natural sunlight? I have a book that does a pretty good write up on that aquarium, and what a great excuse to make it over to the Islands! I had the pleasure when i was about 14 to get out there, but it was before I was into the reefing hobby, so i had no idea there was even an aquarium out there. I can't wait till i have the chance to head out again!!!!

That is a great aquarium, I enjoyed the outside ponds they have also, they had a green slimer in the tank outside that was immense and the greenest green I have ever seen..

Maybe the rest of you guys know, but I'm not privy. What are you doing out there for so long? Is your company hiring??

david just happens to currently be in hawaii b/c they aren't ready for him to board the vessel yet...he will be out to see for numerous months, so he needs to enjoy the land for as long as he can. ;)

Yes, the "Reef tank" does have natural sunlight and also supplemental lighting.

The crosshatch is doing fine. I caught that one about three years ago. They are building a new display and are planning on adding more crosshatch and also a big harem of flame wrasse. At least that is the plan last I heard.
