Wake me up...when December ends...

Hey Tim

Hang in there. It usually makes me feel better when I figure out a way around a problem even when I caused the problem.

Yeah, I hate them 4 AM wake up calls from my Neptune controller. I got one a couple days ago because the pH in calc reactor dropped too low. It looks like my controller is failing. I've had it for five years so that's not a bad run.

Oh, and I'd have to add 1K GPH to catch up to your low of 5K GPH.

Brian, not to hijack here...

but my Neptune is about four years old now... are you sure its the controller or just the probe that's failing? Also could be the X-10 device that's physically turning something on/off.

I have a Sequence 4300 ('cuda) and an extra Tunze impellor that you are welcome to.

The propellor shaft was starting to get worn through but the body is in perfect shape (not cracked) and may help you out.

As far as the pump goes, you can take now, pay later or just borrow it. I'm not using it, and I recently replaced the seals, so it's good to go. I leaked tested it as well.

I also have a few cans or rowaphos.

I will be in the Bay Area on Saturday if you want to meet me there.

everyone, thanks for offering to help out with the equipment. its really appreciated. dolphin called me and installed their saltwater safe seals and have already shipped the pump out via fedex ground. not sure when it'll show because of the holidays, but it was good service.

i can't use anything other than a dolphin 3000 or identical footprint. even though i'm using 1.5" spa flex tubing, its still somewhat hardplumbed with the unions and such.

roger from tunze said my replacement impellor was sent out last thursday so that should show anyday too.

these unexpected expenses came at the wrong time of year :(

My deepest condolences on the montiporas, and when it rains it pours.
I see your approach as a successfull one, I myself am tip toeing around some landmines at the moment as well. I have a small collection of your monti's and if any are lost in the fight they wont be lost for long... You have my full support and best wishes!

;)

WOW Tim you sure do have a ton more corals since last time I was at your house! What ever you are doing your corals look great. Hang in there we all go through bad times. I have recently lost pretty much my entire LPS collection and can't figure out why. Tissue just lifting off the skin and floating away, yet all SPS in the tank are doing/growing great!

LMK when you have a few frags of those beauties for sale, I will help you re coup some cost!

Hey Tim

I have a bucket of PhosBan if that is what you want to try some.

What phosphate sponge were you using?

Why are you changing?

The good news is that there are lots of tanks in the area that your corals now. If it completely crashes you can your favorites back.
