My 90g has had a flame angel for the last 7 months. My wife wants a bi-color angel. Can I add one or am I lookin for trouble? BTW, it's a reef tank.

I don't know about compatibility, but these angels are known as one of the least coral-safe angels. It's hard to get a healthy one, too.

Having said that, they're one of the prettiest fish out there. If you can find a healthy one and don't care about coral, I would try it.

Thats all I needed to hear. Its a "No"! I dig my corals too much. What about a Flagfin Angel?

reef safe is really 50/50. adding another dwarf angel to a tank with an established dwarf angel is asking for trouble, unless there is lot of live rocks for the new comers to hide. i added a cb to my tank after having a flame angel for 2 years a while back. it wasnt pretty at first, but luckily with enough live rocks, the cb survived the first few days. now they r ok but the flame still picks on the cb from time to time. you could see the two angels arounf the 37 second mark.

Yeah, I would be more worried about the bi-color surviving regardless if there is another dwarf in there or not.

I currently have 2 dwarfs in my 75, and 3 in my 65 -- haven't had any issues.
