want to dive in Ft Lauderdale

So i plan on heading there this summer. I would lilke to do the keys but a lot more money to go there so i figured ft lauderdale area would work. I just would like to know some details of whats good in the area so i can plan my trip accordingly. I would mainly like to see as much coral reef as possible but am open to any suggestions of better things to see. Thanks for any info!!

There is a beach dive in Lauderdale that is actually quite nice, even saw acros there. There is at least one dive shop within walking distance, I think it is off of Commercial Blvd. PM me if you have any trouble locating it. Check out divespots.com, they may have it listed.

i was just there in september. we were diving out of deerfield beach and a few areas around there. there is a boat called the starfish that was my favorite. the crew was just awesome. hope that helps a little bit. have a great time!
