well I was planning on getting some new zoanthids.... currently I only have 1 pink zoanthid and he has improved tremendously from when I got him at the LFS... I've jsut been doing water changes and keeping my params good....

my question is, is there any difference in care for all the different colored zoas? Is what I'm doing now fine or should I be doing more? and lastly I just ran across this http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+4680+4881&pcatid=4881
would that be good to use before adding to the tank or is it a waste of money?

thanks!

also is there anything specific they should be fed? I occassionaly add phyto plankton and I just feed my fish brine and mysis every day....

I'm sending you a list of vendors.

As for feeding zoas/palys and protopalys. Most get their food from good lighting and good health from good flow and stable parameters. Some palys/protopalys will eat mysis, cyclopeeze and other food.

my lighting isn't the strongest though I only have compact flourescents, but my current zoanthid has only improved a lot and has been in there for a few months...I should have mentioned my lighting before

People have been growing zoos sucesfully with PC's. THe only difference is that they don't fully get the to fully color them up as copared with the use of MHs and T5s. ( from what I read and seen ).

well in a few months I am going up to a 135g and transferring everything over... when I have the 135g I am going with the outer orbit lighting... would the color improve once I add the new lighting to my tank?

Some will either get a lot brighter ( depending on certain colors , like pinks, reds etc. ). I'll be running MH's with 4 T5s in my 37cube.
Will you be running purely mH's or with T5s or VHO's to supplement attinics?

Thats a good one, I'll be employing one in my cube as well. I have the 250MH with 4 T5s with 12 LED's. will be using a 14K phoenix bulb.

good pick.
