Very nice tank and great care taken by you for your collection. What is the hobby like in HongKong? Are there alot of stores to buy from or do you have frags shipped to you? Were your frags small from the start or did you start with larger pieces? Are you a member of a reef club?

Sooo nice!!!!!! What is the blue one sitting on the bottom just right of center?

We have a club in here and the members are so nice and friendly. There are several coral stores in Hong Kong so we can buy Aust., Fuji and Indonsia sps. i usually buy some small frags about 1-2inches and looking them grow up, it's so amazing

It's a blue tenuis, is that one?
Very nice I have a lot of respect for your reef keeping skills.
no much skills to keep sps, have lucky and good lavaory salf water only, lol

It's just amazing and cool how close they grow to each other. Just so natural looking. Do you have to trim a lot??

awesome looking tank!
i love the top down shot..
when you say "lavatory" water, I understand that as "bathroom" obviously a translation issue..
do you mean that you use "laboratory" salt water or do you mean you simply use tap water to mix your saltwater?
thanks for sharing!

I just put them together, haven't trimed them and let they go freely

yes~ top veiw is beautiful. In here, is using the seawater for the lavatory cleaning, and i just use those seawater for the changing of my sps, the situation is quite good, no need to consume the mixing salt and save a little bit money~ thank you

Thank you for sharing your beautiful table collection. Very impressive. Wow!

Have you grow them all from frags?

How long have you had this tank running?

Have you used the same DIY LEDs from the beginning?

You have saltwater on tap in the restroom? That is awesome.

awesome! free natural seawater. you can't beat that!
very nice.
do you keep a lot of fish?
There are 7 fishes in my tank, they are Holacanthus passer, clownfish, whitetail damsel, yellow damsel, scarlet hawfish, purple tang and sohal tang.

Welcome REEF SMAC,
1. The size of those tables were about 2-3 inches when i collected
2. This tank have been run for about 8 years
3. At the beginning, i was using 2x 400w HQ, but it's too hot for me, so i changed LED about 3 years ago.
4. Not really tap water from my restroom, it's only for the cleaning of the stool, the seawater is clean enough for my tank, the PO4 and NO3 is 0.00 and i made a pipe outside for changing of my tank

Thank you for the reply.
So you have had good sucess with LEDs for 3 years now. That is awesome.
Same LEDs the whole time? Or have you tried others?

What I meant is, that you have seawater piped to your building for cleaning purposes, that you can also use for your reeftank. Is that correct?

At the beginning, my LED was 258W (2x14w+6x3w) for my 1200 tank only,
but it's not good enough, so i update to 356W several months later. It's working good now, some led lamps have been changed.

That's right, there is a seawater pipe inside my bathroom for the stool, so i can use it, so convenience. Thank you~~

Here are some more pics of my sps

Wow amazing tank.. Also amazing that you have the free water plumbed to your house to use at will. Must make water changes a lot easier and plentiful if needed. Thanks for sharing.
