i have 6 MJ1200's in my 3 yr old DSB 92 corner. i'm planning on removing 2 MJ and replacing w/ 1 6000 on a controller. after a few weeks or months i will remove another 2 MJ 1200's and add another 6000. since i have a corner tank i have 1 MJ on each side up front blowing towards glass, 1 on each side in middle blowing across towards each other( these 2 front and middle ones will be replaced first w/ first 6000), and 1 on each side, towards bottom on side blowing towards front corner( these last 2 listed i will leave). eventually i just want 2 6000's on each side blowing across tank bouncing off a piece of porous LR hitting middle of front glass. would this be best placement. i will keep 2 MJ1200's, 1 on each side at bottom blowing towards front corners. my return also blows towards middle front glass only 2" below surface. my tank is primarily an sps tank w/ a few LPS pieces. right now i have about a total 32X turnover. when i replace first 2 MJ1200's w/ first 6000 there will be a total 48X turnover, and when i finally have 2 6000's and 2 MJ1200's there will be a total 63X turnover. i don't want to add 2 6000's at once, rather would do it slowly w/ controller for each.

You can put in both 6000s and use the controller to turn down the adjust the velocity accordingly. The flow from the 6000s is more wide compared to the maxi jets so I think it would be ok.

I've seen a few corner tanks that just run one 6000 with decent results. But 2x6000's with the multicontroller will give you better flow options and it also comes with the night sensor and moonlight. The folks that run one 6000 usually place the stream in the upper/middle of the tanks rockwork going against the front pane angled up slightly.
