Want to trade my 38gallon sump for smaller sump.

Hello everyone!

I have a sump (got it from Chuck) that I BELIEVE to be a 38 gallon tank (36"x13"x19-20"). It is a standard glass tank, with 2 partitions in one end setup as an return or intake and then an overflow wall to divide off a refuge area (would also be a bubble trap). I was planning on siliconing in another piece of glass to use as a return, but unfortunately, I wasn't taking into account the size of my stand, and it's too tall. I would LOVE to trade for a tank or sump that is off the dimensions 36"x13"x13" (or less!). I mainly need a sump for equipment, but would like to have a refuge as well. If you have something to trade (anything, actually) let me know.

Hey Matt, is the 19-20" the height or width?

Height. I've only go about 21 inches in my sump area to get the skimmer cup in and out, that's my problem.

Matt if you are interested in selling this sump, let me know. Ive been looking for a 30 gal. or there abouts for about a month. those are perfect dimensions for what i need. If you can call me at 419-202-1003.

Rocky, Let me take some measurements, but I think I can use either this tank OR my extra 55 gallon tank for the sump, I forgot that both the sump AND the skimmer are too tall, so I'm just going to slide the stand away from the wall, and stick it all behind the stand.

I'll let you know in the next few days, will you be at the meeting @ T&Ts on the 22nd? If not, or if you need it sooner, we can meet up one evening in Cville. I'll let you know in the next day or two. $20 sound fair? That's what I payed for it from Chuck in January.

Hey Rockie, I looked things over today, I am going to use the other 55 I have, and not this tank. So, it's all yours, or rather Angies!

I'm going to be in and out all weekend, so if you want to meet up before the meeting next Saturday, after work would probably be best early next week. Let me know.
