Wanted: good home for evil crab

In the interest of full disclosure, you may want to read <a href="http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=551942">this thread</a>.

Summary: we have a black mithrax that hitchhiked into our tank, and really helped to clean up a terrible outbreak of hair algae. So we owe the little critter. But it's bigger now, and has a taste for green chromis -- it ate five before we caught it. Our sump isn't big or safe enough for it. So we're looking for a good home.

If you have a coral only tank, or only big fish, maybe this is the crab for you. Or if you have a refugium. Or if you just really like cool looking crabs. If you are interested, email me at bclee at umich dot edu. (If you PM me on reef central, history has proven that half the time it takes me at least a month to notice. So email is better.)

Pictures (its body is somewhere between the size of a quarter and a half dollar):

Edit: I should add that we are in Fremont, about a block form the BART station.

I'll ask the LFS if no one here is interested. It's a cool crab, if I had a place for it I'd keep it -- I'm still thinking of trying to make room in the sump somehow. But I thought I'd see if anyone here wanted it first -- I don't want someone to end up with it in their tank without knowing what they are getting into, and that seems more likely if I leave it at a LFS.

I kind of half thinking about sacrifing my royal gamma if this guy would do the trick. Would you be willing to mail it if I send you payment for th postage & handling? I know crabs usually ship really well. With the gas prices the way they are this week, it would probably cost me close to $12 for gas & toll.

I replied in your thread about the algae problem, so here I'll just say I'd rather not mail it, I just don't think I would have time this week.
