Wanted: Live Rock/Frags

haha nice.

When I do start to add fish on at a time, I think my list looks something like this:

Clown goby (yellow or citron)
Rainfordi Goby
Percula/Ocellaris Clown (maybe a pair, maybe a single picasso?)
Sharknose Goby
Red Headed Goby
Green Banded Goby
Red Sea Mimic Blenny
Tail Spot Blenny
Tangaroa Goby
Orchid Dottyback
pom-pom crabs
sexy shrimp
mushrooms (blue/red)
zoas (pink/green/black-orange/watermelon)
leather
Frogspawn

I wouldn't have all of these fish (something like 2 clowns, a clown goby, and a rainfordi goby would be the MOST I would have), it's just my list of what I like under 3 inches in length that I could choose from :)

Oh I can't forget a flaming prawn goby, L O V E those things and only 1 inch :) Too bad they are $110+

Oh and I saw some really nice Blue spot jawfish today when I went to get a better salinity meter, made me want one, they were sooo pretty! I will wait until the big tank for one of those though. Hope you all are having a good day!

Parameters have been at 0 for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate since wednesday morning now. Decided to put my first fish in the tank this wednesday/thursday. Thinking clown goby or percula clownfish. I will post pictures soon :)

clown gobies are not as hardy as you will be led to believe. not due to water conditions but because they often refuse to eat when unhappy. I have had 2 and both got fussy with me one right at the begining and one after 8 months. just fyi. for your first ever salt fish I would say a damsel of some kind (this includes clownfish) they are very hardy. BTW have you seen datoms yet?

Ok Sean be honest what did you do to **** of the clown goby ? I can see Sean now looking at it. ("Hmmmm your not that cute !!) and the clown goby is like Hmmmm fine I'll starve myself to death. LOL !!!

I don't know about that Sean, I put one In my tank as the first fish along with a couple others and all of them are dead except the Goby! Go figure....
Bill

thanks Bill :) For a first timer at tank shots it turned out quite nice!

Sean, I have thought about doing a picasso clown pair in my tank, I just don't want to risk those beauties at first, they would be about $150 in all (shipping included) which isn't too bad, but it is more than I have to gamble with! So I think I will wait on those for a while and try the goby. Thanks for the heads up though, I will make sure I have some cyclopeeze, maybe that will help him if he isn't eating.

I did have a bit of diatoms, but the snails have eaten them all and haven't come back. I've got 2 tiny astrea and 2 good sized snails that start with a T, not turbo though. I have a little piece of macro algae and chaeto in there as well and I think it may be keeping hair algae and diatoms at bay.

I'll keep everyone updated, thanks for the advice!

can I post a video link on here? Here it goes, hope it works!

They are percula's too so they will have a nice thick black outline to the picasso stripes, I just spent our grocery money on baby fishies, I guess we will be having tacos and pb&j for at least 2 weeks :spin2: They shipped about an hour ago and will arrive at the house before 10:30, I am PUMPED!

Thanks James and Bill, I figure clowns are hardy (being damselfish) and they are an inch to an inch and a half, which makes the bioload a lot smaller, and I have you all coaching me! I've got an extra thing of bio-spira just in case, and a whole lot of praying I'm going to do tonight for Fred and Ethel (trying to think of good names lol)

when i had my pair of clowns & was looking for names, i told my friend laura about how they are sexually ambiguous till they decided on a dominate & it became the female.....she named mine bert & ernie & said they were also sexually ambiguous & neither was dominate enough for a gender to be assigned

LOL

My Favorite Movie, But you need to pronounce It like they do In the movie.... Awrence..... Think I'll see If I can find It on PPV have to stay up for frag people coming anyway..

Well Bill, I have to say it is one of my favorite movies as well, that and Gunga Din, Patton, Citizen Cane, and The Searchers. I hope you find it on PPV, that always makes for a wonderful night!

Hmmm.... maybe Gunga Din and Ben Hur for names.... :)

Well, they arrived safe and sound. They acclimated for an hour or so and are now swimming like crazy! they are so little and wiggly!

For their sake, I left the lights dimmed today so they wouldn't be too scared, I took a couple of shots before I did though, and I will have to get some full tank shots for you all tomorrow, here are the new arrivals, looking great so far, they look like they really like each other too :love2:
