Looking for anyone who has a male G. Chiragra that they may want to get rid of or sale? I live in Mass. But will pay for shipping if need be!

I don't have one, but I'm curious why a G. chiragra? They are notorious for being foul-tempered and hiding a lot. Exceptions do occur, of course. For the size, I'd much prefer, say, a G. ternatensis.

I got duked into the one I have when my LFS sold it to me as a peacock! So now I'm just dealing with what I have and decided to make the best of it, Besides she's not so bad when she's not closed up through her molting period. She busted out a good size hole right in the front so I can see her at any time and get her to come out with at feed time! I also have a female G. Glabrous that I bought becuase the LFS had it in a small cage for two months and I felt bad, I will like to mate her soon to but am waiting untill I get a bigger setup for her!

you plan on captive rearing mantids? i can almost guarantee it will be a failure. i mean no offence to you, it's just the life cycle of stomatopods. I dont believe it has ever been done in home aquaria and if it were, i just dont think G. chiragra would be a very... profitable species.

i had success in pairing up 2 N. wennerae and they had babies. but i was not expecting them to have babies and was very unprepaired to deal with it. i think i managed to keep some alive for about 2-3 weeks maybe a tad bit longer.

it was very hard keeping them alive as long as i did. so with that said i wish you good luck in doing this and hope you have better success then i did when the babies come. keep us posted as to the progress of your new mission! OH YEA!! try to get as many pics as you can if you have a decent camera, i tried to get lots of pictures but my camera is not the best.
