Wanting another fish

Mrramsey

NEO Reefer
So it's time to add one more to the fold just not sure what I want...

Current stock is a pair of O. Clowns, 1 yellow tang, 1 blue damsel (he was a hitchhiker), 1 emerald crab, 1 banded coral shrimp.

Thought about a Flame Hawkfish or a One Spot Foxface.

Hawkfish especially flames become aholes when mature. Really cool fish but they do get nasty.

Take a look at the Golden Midas Blenny. This is a favorite in my tank from most people that have seen it. They swim in the middle water column most of the time, they'll also find a hole in LR that will become their home and it's fun watching them back into the hole :D Lots of personality and they get to about 6" full grown. They'll eat anything you offer them and are complete pigs :lmao: Great golden yellow color and very active. They get along with all fish in the tank, no aggression what so ever.

The hawkfish will eat your shrimp in the blink of an eye.
The foxface should be just fine provided you feed plenty of nori for both your herbivores.

Have you tried taking a look at reef safe wrasses? A lot of spectacular species there.

Yeah the hawk was questionable for sure. Saw one at the lfs and thought it was pretty cool.

Going to the shop today for some DI resin and will see what's available. They usually have a selection of blenies and wrasses.

Everyone says wrasse and you think "yeah, yeah, yeah, what's the big deal?" and then you HAVE a wrasse and suddenly you're answering "wrasse!" every time someone asks for your favorite fish or what you want next.
Just saying...there's a reason that when a lot of the people who've been around answer this question they say wrasse.

Yeah not looking for any Tang's. Ideally something 6" or smaller as an adult. My only concern with a wrasse is that I read they are jumpers.

I have a one spot in my 120 and it's not going anywhere. it was the first fish added to my tank 2 1/2 years ago. gets along with all other fish and keeps algae in check. flame hawk is a good choice unless you have hermits and/or small shrimp. my coral beauty has not touched any coral, but I know that could change.

I have a foxface in my 110g and i have no issuess, plus They are really good in eating algea and keep my rocks clean. He doesn't bother any other fish.

all fish can be jumpers so I would not let that deter you from wrasses. I assume you have a cover on your tank.

I think a blenny is what you need, they are so great :spin2: they have little eyelashes, and kiss the glass leaving little lip marks xD

I'd agree on wrasses, they can be nice, and they can be jerks, I'd mention the six line wrasse, I have one, and he's okay, not a jumper in my case.

But I do really like blennies more, like a starry blenny or a lawnmower blenny, much more personality in my case. ( I'd aim more for the starry blenny, even though mine is a lawnmower, they are apparently easier to keep)

I'd also like to mention shrimp gobies, they are pretty neat-o and come in lots of colors ^^ they also form a symbiotic relationship with pistol shrimp that's pretty cute lol
