Hey i have had my 34g Solana cube set up for about 2 months with a sunpod 150w HQI 14000k... but half the live rock and all of the current livestock is from my old tank. I currently have a small zoa frags, 3 Ricordea florida polyps, and a 2" toadstool leather frag.

First of all which of these corals would "fight" with LPS? I have a lot of rock so i can separate them pretty well.

Second, What would be some good beginner LPS corals? I wanted to put something on the top of my rock and something on the bottom. I was thinking hammer/frogspawn on top and a brain or something else on the bottom/sand. My tank had decent but gentle flow too.

Will cleaner shrimp, Ocellaris clown or a biocolor blenny bother LPS? I know blennys will sometimes nip sps.

You could probably keep just about anything in there. The clownfish might try to host the corals, otherwise they are all safe. Better yet, why not a nice anemone for the clowns to host. They grow rather large, provide lots of movement to the tank, and are usually very colorful.

I agree taht you could keep about anything you want. Frogspawn, Torches, and brains are all pretty hardy IMO. Check out some of the favia show-off threads for some REALLY NICE LPS additions.

i think my tank might be a little too new for an anemone... and I don't feel confident in spending the money on one. I have seen some that are pretty expensive.

Also, Would digitate hydroids be a problem? I have a little out break I'm trying to deal with. Some of their bases are deep within the rocks and i can't get to them to inject them. Hoping they will slowely go away as the tank matures a little.

I was going to turn my middle filter chamber into a refugium... Do you think this would eliminate some of the pests like the digitate hydroids? I know it will make the water quality better which I'm sure the corals will like.
