I was thinking of (2) aqua tech 5-15 power filters a 50 watt heater, digi thermo., lighting from petco......or from one of you..... :) (dont remember the name) 25 LBS of LS 30-40 LBS of LR.....hopein one of you can help with that stuff......cleaning crew...4 blue leg hermits and a star (brittle or chacochip) and some snails....and donno about the fish yet any suggestions? and maybe a power head....

If you want to grow corral be ready to spend some serious cash on lighting and filtration. If you try to go cheap it will not work.

Good luck...

Well....lol thats why I asked for suggestions....lol BK come on im not that big of a newbe...lol I found a 65 watt 6500 fixture and bulbs(not sure on size gotta check) for 100 bucks at petco and priced some LS at aquatic treasures for 2-3 bucks a pound not sure on what kinda LR I want tho any suggestions? and what type of filtration do you suggest?

is a 20L 36"?

If so I have a single strip 96W PC Coralife fixture. You can grow any softy under that. Even an RBTA since the tank's not deep. (that is assuming the tank's 36"

I have a 20L that I recently setup. I have a single 250w SE 10k halide over right now. I have a cpr 90 overflow into a 10g sump below and a cpr hang on back refugium at the moment. I plan on doing a little reworking, of the system once I get moved into my new place in Edwardsville, but until then this is working out for me.

My re-entry into salt water is a 20L. I put an overflow in one corner (see gallery). It is large enough to hold a power head for return, CPR Bakpak (left over from the old days), some live rock, and macro algae. It is kind of like a mini sump without the possibility of leaking. I have 2 65w cf now and plan to add a 70w hqi or two soon. A heater and a powerhead or two and your set. It is small, but affordable. It has been set up for 5 months now and is going well.

Hey, I found 2 nano skimmers from another reefer, one is new and other needs work, should I get them, they are 2 Fission Nano Skimmers ... will they work?

I have an old remora someplace that I could sell for around $70-80 it has an MJ 1200--I believe?? It has been YEARS since I dug it out of the closet. Depending on what kind of corals you wanted to keep a skimmer might not be needed at all. You could do 10 gallon water changes every other week. Good luck with it!

That sounds sweet, but Im on a tight budget for now, this weekends my prom then I have to buy a new car, and fix my old one, I think Im ganna go for the 2 for 20....lol maybe if I need it badly I will contact you.....thanks
