Warner Marine S series Skimmers

Skimmer Guy
Well, As much as we all love some of the new cone skimmers out there. We all can afford all the new technology either. I have been able to try out both the S 150 and S 200 skimmers from Warner marine. I thought I would do a brief review on these units as well.
These are the basic old school design. The s 150 uses a sedra 7000 and pulls about 600 lph of air where the s200 uses a beast. The sedra 9000HO. It has been modified to a 1 inch output and pulls around 1000lph of air. They both move a good amount of water and should not be over looked if you are loking for a simple skimmer.
Build quality is great. They both use gate valves and have twist lock collection cups. The skimmers work pretty well. No bubble plate or anything just a well built simple skimmer. If you are looking for something different and like reliability and good performance this might be another option for you. here are a couple shots to look at and a video!!

yeah but this is a gate valve. I thought you might get a siphon from it being submerged.

I am still running this little guy and it is working like a champ. I ll take some more pics but for as simple as it is, it skims pretty well.
