Washing soap?

Never Enough Tanks
Just curious what soap you might wash you hands with to get dirt and bad stuff off before you put your hands in the tank?
So many of the soaps have bad stuff in them....

I just use regular Dial Soft Soap, but I rinse really well for a couple minutes before going in the tank

before I put my hands in the tank, I don't use any soap I just rinse really well under warm water (all the way up to the elbows).

Often times all I do is rinse too... But at work I sometime get stuff on my hands that should not be in a tank. So sometimes I do have to wash and most soaps are not good either. I was wondering is there a soap that is out there for reef keepers?

That would be nice. I guess anything that doesn't say antibacteria on it (without rinsing well first). I've heard some suggest castile soap it's an olive oil based product that is 100% organic. but I don't know enough to recommend it, maybe do some research and see.

I bought a couple pairs of those shoulder high gloves and they never seem to stay water tight for too long, and once they get wet inside they start to stink and they end up in the trash. what a waste of money!! but if they sold disposable shoulder highs for a descent price I would purchase a box of those.

really? i bought a pair of gloves and used them for almost two years before i had a small leak and fixed it with a bicycle tire repair kit. then again i tried to keep my hands out of the tank unless it was really necessary. maybe you are putting your hands in your tank to often?

For little stuff I bought some 24 inch stainless tweezers from this medical supply place on ebay. Any major work I wask with a hand soap and rinse 2 to 3 times up to my elbows. But it pretty rare that I have to do that.

I wont' put my hands in the tank if I have to use soap to clean them... usually just a good long rinse and rubbing.

I usually try to plan my maintenance to do after I take a shower, so I can be rinsed really well and do it before I put lotion, shaving cream, etc on.
