Hey how do you guys get rid of the waste water when your done with a water change? I pump or dump my water into the toilet but I know some people who pour it down the sink of take it to the curb.

Thanks,
Jeff

DT down the utility room sink drain, QT out the garage and down the driveway. Just a matter of convenience.

Im soon ready for the add water stage and ive been wondering this too. For the country folk out there do you carry it outside or into the septic tank?

Dunno about elsewhere, but where I live, it all ends up at the water treatment plant (sewer or storm drain) then back to the ocean.

I dump mine outside on the weeds also. I have never dumped it into my septic tank by way of toilet or drains. I don't think that would be a good idea IMO!

I just dump it down the storm drain in the street

And that is why it is a very bad idea to dump it down the storm drain. (( If I remember correctly, it might even be illegal in parts of Ca. to do that )). You have no idea what diseases and/or invasive species you could be dumping. Would be a very good idea to find another way to dispose of it. Storm drains are treated different then sewers.

EDIT -- found a longish thread about this in one of the local CA forums.

+1 my friend....excatly what i was getting at.....it would actually prolly end up being more work to throw it in a storm drain then just to dump it in the toilet..and this way it gets sent to the treatment plant.....but me thinks that euro is trying to be a lil bit of a pain!!!!:wildone:
