yellow watchman goby was doing fine for last 10 months in our 125 gallon mixed/ limited reef tank. Paired with pistol shrimp. Held his own and defended his right to eat.. would regularly chase off the scooter blenny in the tank.
Added a one-spot foxface rabbit fish in the last 3 weeks. The YWM has only been seen outside his cave once since then. Doesn't seem to be eating. I can see him from under the cabinet.. He and the shrimp scurry around within their labrynth under the LR... Sand outside the cave is no longer being turned over as it used to every night. Tried to target feed with a turkey baster, but could get the right angle to force the food into the cave.
I'm concerned we're on the path to slow starvation. What can I do? Thought about rearranging the LR, maybe some confusion would break up the behavior? Or, would it only make them more traumatized?
