Water blaster pumps

Looking at possibly using one of these for my return pump.

Key feature is that the use a silicon nitride impeller that deters build up of calcium.

Can someone who has used them for a while vouch for it??

There is a long thread on these, do a search, I was reading it the other day. They seem a little pricey up front, but very energy efficient.

I bought the WB HY-3000 a few months ago to replace my Mag 9.5 return pump and I love it.

I recently had it apart for cleaning and it was noticeably cleaner than the Mag would have been at the same interval. The drop in wattage is also nice and since I use the pump internally switching over I noticed almost a two degree drop in water temperature, so the WB runs significantly cooler.

I don't see any calcium or coraline build-up on my HY-7000, after about a year of use. Then again, that section of the sump has no light source either.
