Water change question

It is a 6 gal tank. By the time you have enough sand for it to dig burrows in and enough rock you are dealing at best with 3 maybe 3.5 gals of water. To suggest a ywg and shrimp is not a good suggestion. Besides he has brought back the damsel and got a much larger tank.

I guess you didn't read my current tank, it says 30 but after I measured it it's actually a 20 long. and quite overloaded. My 40 gal will hopefully be up this weekend and I can then add the rest of my new little friends.

Some of us wish to see a disaster not happen with a newbie and that is what I made my comment for.

Just because people do something different from what is suggested doesn't mean that it's wrong. It's adding caution on an unlikely probability!


I think you missed a post. The OP returned the 6 gallon tank and bought a 29G biocube.

So I think that recommendation is fine. If I were the OP Id check out the nano fish section in liveaquaria, decide what he likes, and post in Steve's sticky what he wants for behavioral compatability and bioload.
