I'm running a small Oceanic Biocube14 with LR and my fish include (2) BANGAII CARDINALFISH and (1) YELLOWHEAD JAWFISH.Is there a schedule I should get on for Water changes and what % should I change?
i've always gone by the 10% weekly rule. works for me. save big changes for when you encounter spikes in parameter levels, or something dies, godforbid
at least 10%. as your tank gets older and you continually find your levels where you want you could lengthen the time between changes. Just remember that you have a small water volume so things can happen fast. And as always remember: THE SOLUTION TO POLLUTION IS DILUTION!!
Yea the smaller tanks really rely on that weekly water change. Your stock is low so this will help. Keeping and eye on perms. will also help to determine if more then 10% will be needed.
I 2nd the at least 10 percent. With a nano...I would go 15. I usually do 20 a week. mainly because its easier to judge on the 6. I have been doing the nano for a year now with no problems, and it was my first tank. And the big thing that helped was the water changes.
