water changes

I was just curious...I know some people use stuff to add trace elements and what not...but if I do regular water changes does that restore any of the natural elements..even if it is RO water? The guy at the LFS was showing me some Kent nano tank part A&B...anyone used this??

yes, it should replace everything, depending on what salt you're using. The water you use does not replace anything...specially RO, but that doesnt matter because its all in the salt.

Dont use that kent crap. There's no need to use ANY additives IMO as long as you keep up w/biweekly water changes (i've gone even longer than just 2 weeks too...). Only reason to use additives is if you got a tank that is LOADED with like sps corals or something that actually uses a lot of stuff...

Like sir_dudeguy said, water changes will do all the work for you under most circumstances. Eventually, you'll have enough corals and coral growth that you might have to add Calcium and Carbonate to the tank, but those tanks are usually like tank of the month tanks.
