I know that Tridacna crocea come from rocky upper reef areas and are subject to higher flow rates, but I was wondering exactly how stong of flow they are usually subjected to? Just wondering!

Thanks!

I have read that the croceas can take more flow than most clams...the general conscious is that as long as the mantle is being blown around so much that the clam closes up for extended periods of time...what exactly that amount of flow is I cant say...Trial and error would be the only for sure method to get the maximum amount of flow in an acro tank with clams...one could also design creative rockwork to shield the clams some from excesive flow ...
