Water flow for leathers/

My 90 gallon leathers tanks has an Fluval FX5 canister that is cycles the tank cycles the tank around 9 times per hour. I have 2 hydro koralia power heads moving 400gph each.

I guess my question is I have read that the water flow in the tank should be more on the gental side and I was wondering if I am being to gental?

canister is rated at 924 gph + 2 x 400gph (koralia's) = 1724 gph
1724gph / 90 gallon tank = a turnover rate of 19x

I have 25x in my 120 gallon and the leathers are doing great. I'd say you're in an acceptable range of flow. Are your leathers happy?

If the leathers are happy don't change what you're doing.

I do not target feed my leathers. I feed the tank Arcti-Pods and Phyto-Max regularly. I have a pair of true percs that host the largest of the toadstools - I'm sure they bring it food.

What time of the night do you feed your leathers?

I feed my leathers when I get home at 1am. Is this to late? All my leathers are closed up Or should I be doing a once a week over cast feeding with just the actinics on when everything is open feeding?

Your flow should be fine, my Softie/LPS tank has over 40x turnover, and the soft corals love it.
