Water flow help for 72 gal. bowfront

I have a 72 gallon Oceanic bow front, and I really need to figure out how to provide much better, varied, water movement. Right now I have a SQUID on my return, and an ATS scrubber that "dumps" water in at the back of the tank. But, there still seems to be a lot of dead spots in the tank and I don't want a bunch of powerheads. I have no idea how many GPH I'm moving around.

What would be your best suggestion for water movement in this tank? (contains LPS, SPS, and a few soft corals) I would like to purchase something in the next couple of days.

Thanks, D.

1 6000 Stream and a 7091 Single controller would be the best choice to add to what you have.

One more question: Where would be the best location to place it? If facing the tank, the back left corner is where the overflow is located.
Also at what height within the tank is the best?

This should eliminate any dead spots, right?

Thank-you Roger, I'll be placing my order today! Thanks. Dianna.

It should drastically reduce dead spots but their may still be a few still areas back in the rock work. I would place it in the opposite corner from the overflow aimed to the front center.

Is there any particular reason you would aim the stream at the front center of the tank? Why is this the best spot?

Also you said to place it opposite from the overflow, pointing at the front center...so on the back wall of the tank (in the corner), or the short side wall (in the corner) ?

Thanks for your help.

D.

Backwall is likely the easiest. Their are no definite answers here, you have to just find what works for your tank and corals. In general though bouncing the flow off a pane diffuses it even more, you don't want to diffuse it too soon in it's path or it really reduces the movement achieved.

Thank-you Roger, I made some adjustments in the position of the pump and it made a huge difference. Thanks for your patience.
