Water polishing?

Hey Mini,

I think thats a great idea to have an internal filter handy. I'm going to try that same technique. But I also wonder, cotton filter media? Do you mean that poly stuff that looks like cotton? Cotton balls you can buy from the grocery store?

In my opinion water polishing = diatomaceous earth...

This is a nice hang on tank diatom filter which would be great for intermittent use.

I would never consider using cotton.

Leafer: I use pure cotton. To be specific, I use CVS cotton squares 250 count. I use 2 squares at a time. So basically I would use one package at $3 for one year. Very inexpensive. I use it once or twice a week. It keeps my water crystal clear and it does not minimize my pods production. I still see pods at nite with my red light vision.
