water pump question

Does anyone know of an in-sump pump that can push water from the basement to the second floor? Or am I stuck with pluming an inline pump?

Thanks.

Im guessing something in the lines of a mag 24 or so might be able to pull this off but IMO an inline would be much cheaper on the electric bill

This is simply a pump to use for top off water as well as water changes. So it will rarely be used. I am not as concerned with the electric bill. (just don't want to carry buckets anymore)

A mag 36 pushes 50/gph at 23 feet. I'm not sure the height from the basement to the second floor, but I think it's more than that.

possibly both (depending on how creative I want to get with the pluming. They don't need to get there very fast. I only do 8 gallon water changes (top off is a few gallons every few days).

wow thats alot of head pressure I had no idea you were gonna go to the second floor ...I would make my water on the second floor if possible ...or move the tank to the first floor thats alot of stairs with heavy buckets I see your problem I tote 5 gallons at a time 20 feet on the same floor and want to figure out a better way I couldnt even amagine three floors up ...Good Luck

I was making water on the second floor. Just looking at "less risky" options.

Thanks ChickenCannoneer (although i don't know what "prime up to 3 feet mean".....

I will call them tomorrow and talk to them. I also found:
this

but at that price, I'll just keep doing buckets, lol.

whao! you could hire someone to haul buckets for you at that price. Oh and priming would be it could sit out of the water about 3 feet and suck it into the pump sorry. HTH, Tim

I just measures and it's about 21 feet. The last pump (4193K11 on http://www.mcmaster.com/ ),
would it pump 4 gpm at 20 feet? and a max of 43 feet?!?

So, TECHNICALLY a mag 36 would work (not that I found a place that sells them; md has them "listed").

But the above option might work and be cheaper. Do you know what the "turn on level" means?

I still think that the first one that I talked about might be your best option as it is cheaper than these ones and I think it has RO water fittings if that is needed. Mag 36 are big badass pumps that would be nice to have but if I remember they are somewhere around like $200? Good luck with your decision. HTH, Tim

I think you'll be disappointed with the mag2400, if it can reach that high at all. The Danner is rated at 22.5' which is just a the limit considering plumbing, etc.

I think you are going to be better off with an external pump. Not sure what the Iwaki 55RLT (or the similar Panworld) is rated. An Iwaki 70RLT is rated at 32ft and the 100RLT at 39ft. Both might be slightly overkill. However, anything less and I fear you'll get a trickle, if anything at that height.

Why not mix it upstairs? You could run your RO/DI output very easily up there using your household water pressure, batch mix it and store empty reservoirs in the basement.
