Water Pumps

I just bought a new Rio Hyper flow 20 submersible for my 55 gal uniquarium to improve flow. I had to turn down the pump 1/4 to stablize the flitration but the pump is noisey, it has a rattling sound. Is that normal for those pumps or is it defective?

I would have to suggest its not right, if its new you should be able to get your $$ back. Rios are not a top of the line pump to start with.

Now THAT is the most diplomatic way I have EVERY heard it stated! "not a top of the line pump"...
