water quality from rodi unit?

Are there any test kits i can use to check the quality of the water coming out of my rodi unit. Some of the canisters have become pretty brown or rust colored. (dirty looking) Its been running for about 3 months . Is this normal?

Yes that is normal. The prefilters are going to catch rust and particulates and the DI has color change indicators. If you want to test the quality of the water all you need is a TDS meter. The closer to 0 the closer you are to pure water.

Yes, they make portable and in-line tds meters. Your choice but a wise investment.

TDS meters are great. They are easy to use, cheap, and accurate. A must if you have an RO/DI unit.
