Water storage question

I had to store some saltwater in one of those wheeled garbage cans for almost a week, there was a PH moving water around.

My question is, after a week of being mixed in the garbage can, will it be ok to use in my new tank? This garbage can has been my waterrmixing tank for a long time, can was purchased new, I've just never let the water sit for such a long length of time

I use a rubber maid 24 gallon container and leave a ph in for a week before I do my water change. That way ph will stabilize, all clorine will dissipate and I can bring the water to correct temp. Have had absolutely no problems.
