ok. i just need to know. do i need a brute trash can to store water or will any trash can work? are there certain brands or something i need to look for like polyethelene?

BRUTE!!!!! They are thicker walled and will hold up. I have seen first hand a cheaper can buckle when full of water. 20-30 gallons makes a huge mess. Spend the extra $10.00. Think of is as a cheap insurance policy.

go with the Brute ,,muchhhhhhhhhhh better , X-tra tough , STRONG AS HECK ,,,,,

try Home Depot, TFS , Lowes

The brute is great but i just buy the 32gallon rubbermaid and ive been using 2 of them for 2 years now, and if you go to home depot at the right time they are on sale for 9.99!

I know there is a Tractor Supply Co. (TSC) in Medina but I have also seen the Brute cans at Home Depot in Medina.

Kevin saved my tank once 2 years ago while I was on vacation. A cheap $10 rubbermaid trash can decided to leak out the bottom. Not only is cleaning up the mess a pain, but I would have lost the whole tank had he not been checking on it for me.

2-44g brutes was my next tank purchase after that ordeal.
