hi i am wondering if it would be better to use the distlied water out of my de-humidifier insted if just tap water
I would advise against using it as the water is condensing on a coil while air is blowing through it. Even though there is a filter element in front of it you are still going to be pulling alot of dust on through. I really think you would be better off to either buy your water from yoru LFS, buy a RO/DI unit (which is cheaper in the long run), or find your water for your tank through other means.Originally posted by saltwater6900

I just thought of this great idea to tell if you should put a certain water in your tank...
Would you drink it? If that question makes you cringe more than thinking about drinking your local tap water why would you add that water to your tank?![]()

Well, I thought Travis had a good idea to tell, maybe not:lol:
I, ah, still wouldn't use it in your reef tank, JMO.
