Watermelon Help Please (PICS)

I received this watermelon about 7 months ago. It had 1 mouth and was about 1/4 inch. Now it is a little larger than 1 inch around so it is growing. My concerns are these. It still has only 1 mouth is this normal? Also it was perched on top of a piece of glue and it still is elevated. Is this normal? Thanks.

Hmm. Looks healthy though. But it should droop over in time as it grows. You should put that nuclear green a little higher, mines love light.

Thanks for the tip on the Nucs Delsol650 but I think mine are happy on the bottom.

Your chalice is doing fine. Watermelon/Alien eye type chalices are very slow to grow and develop in general. If it's growing and maintaining it's color, your doing good. If you're not spot feeding meaty foods, try it. What will probably happen is it will develop to a certain point and then a few new mouths will begin to form all at the same time.

Thanks Tyke. Yes it is a lot more pink than in the pic.

Jasper, try to feed with cyclopeeze. I turn off all the pumps and turkey baste the food on the chalices and various LPS.

BTW- my Bazooka Joe started with only 1 mouth after a couple months of direct feeding, it now has 3-4 mouths.

Don't them Nucs grow like weeds. LOL
