WAV on 1" Acrylic

Says in the marketing blurb that the Neptune WAV pump will work on tank walls up to 1" thick. Can anyone actually confirm that this is the case? Often, with these mag mounts, they aren't stable at the max thickness range.

I love my APEX 2016 but will not go with the wave.

I was in the market for two pumps till I saw all the issues with the pumps. You don't have to take my words for it..just go to neptune's community forum.
