wave box on a 4 foot tank?

I hear people say it will not work, so i thought i wold ask the pros

I am trying to figure out the best way to get gentle flow for a 120 gallon seahorse tank.

It will work but the wave will be at most 1" tall and it will be a bit fast so it is not the most natural wave frequency but it works and would probably work well for seahorses.
