Wave Controller adjustment

Roger,

I find the adjustment in the Wave Controller for the Wavebox very difficult. I need to make "hairline" adjustments in order to get the right frequency. Although I don't expect to have to adjust it very often I'll certainly have to make adjustments sometimes (I just made a small change in the aquascaping and it required adjustment).

Is there something I can do to make this easier? Or plans to have a controller with a more precise adjustment?

TIA

An easy DIY mod is to make a custom tool to increase the effective diameter of the knob - not a major improvement necessarily but it would help a little. There's alot of different ways to accomplish it - for example, you could drill two small mating holes in the adjustment knob to serve as the mating point for the an adjustment tool. Then make the tool out of a chopstick and a couple sewing pins. Place the two pins perpendicular to through the chopstick so that they mate with the holes drilled in the adjustment knob, and then cut them to the right length with a wire cutter so the chopstick sits flush with the face of the knob. Now you've got an adjustment knob with a ~1 foot diameter when you need it. Not the fanciest, but it might help.

Thanks Eli! Yes, basically making the knob bigger makes it easier. It is a tricky adjustment, having just moved tanks and needing to reset mine. It is not something that has to be done very often though.
