Wave in 190

I have a 190g ( 24x27x24) tank built into a wall and viewable from the front and one side. I would like to generate a wave in the tank using two Vortechs with both of them at the one non-viewable end. Is this possible?

What if so what is the best placement vertically on the wall?

Two pumps on one side of a 6' tank will have some trouble creating a wave, but its not necessarily impossible. I'd start with the pumps about 4-6" down from the surface of the water and about 8" from each side pane.

Would something like the image below work better where one pump is on the non-viewable end and the other on the back panel near the viewable end?

I like the placement you've suggested best for flow, but I don't think you will create a wave with that arrangement. I think you should start with two pumps and try a variety of arrangements to see which suits you best. You will not be disappointed with two pumps on that aquarium, but may find that adding a third allows for even more diverse flow patterns.

Unfortunetly one of my wave drivers died and I am waiting for it to get back from Icecap. before I can try anything again.
