Wave in a 6' tank?

I am going to add a MP40 Gen2 next month. I will be running it opposite a tunze stream(1875 GPH) on a single controller. Should I run the vortech on reef crest mode or is it possible to get a wave in pulse mode?

I'm sure I'll get a wave when I upgrade the stream to a vortech, but thet will have to wait until next year.

We have been able to build a very small wave with one pump in a 180gal tank but I would say that to really get a noticeable wave on a 6' tank you would need two pumps.

A small wave is good for now. I will replace the Tunze with another vortech early next year.


To make the wave in the 180 did you use the pump in reef crest or pulse?

To make waves you must use the pump in Short Pulse Mode which is a blue color.
