I find on my 48" length tank that having the controller on the low end gives me larger waves. Is this normal? I would say the wave is about an 1"...sound right for my tank length or do u think i could get more out of tuning it again?

Did u mention before, that a 6ft long tank will have larger waves than my 4ft tank?

Yes, that sounds right, a 6ft tank gives a bigger wave, the longer the tank within limits, the bigger the wave.
