Wavebox for 120g?

Interested in getting a wavebox - just not sure where I would position it in a 48x24x24 tank...I know on the other post you stated only a 3/4" wave can be achieved - which is fine, but I was wondering where it has to be positioned. It sounds like it has to go on one of the side glass panes going across the length of the 48"...but I have to aquascape so that it is unobstructed right?

Also - separate question - I picked up a pair of streams 6100.10, the drivers read 7240.27.

How should i position the streams along with the wavebox in the 120?

Finally - will a 7095 multi-controller work for the streams? I read that it will work on "extra-low voltage" and that goes right over my head...(sorry).

Let me answer your question starting with the wavebox.

You will achieve higher than 3/4" depend on your aquascacpe. If your rockwork is on the way, you will not be able to make much wave in that size tank. I have seen 4x2x2 tank achieved 1.5"-2" wave and i also seen can barely reach 3/4". You will have to place your wavebox to flow along the 48" length without any obstruction.

Tunze stream 6100.10 they all have the same driver with 6000, just the transformer is different.

7095 Multi controller is designed for Tunze stream 6000, 6100 and 6200 or the newer model of 6101, 6201 and 6301. It has more option compare the the old 7094 and single controller. The controller itself use very low wattage, without the stream pump, you can't power the unit.

If you can post picture of your tank FTS, we can help on the placement of your tunze stream and may be the wavebox.

My 120 is the regular "AGA" with two off-center overflows in the backwall. It's completely empty right now - I'm still getting equipment to set it up. So am really just "spec'ing" things out so to speak.

I'll see if I can post a pic in an hour or so.

Phil, i would place the stream at the rear corner pointing across the tank on interval II (make sure you have the controller). Place the wavebox (if you decided to get one) toward the front panel.

ok so stream #1 on interval II...where would you position the other stream?

The Gift box is what I will get from Uncle Sam come tax time...that is where I plan on putting the wavebox.

I would put the stream 2 in the other corner just like the stream one pointing across the tank. The wavebox is fine there....

Yes, no LR obstructing. You'll need every inch of that tank to be able to make some wave
