Wavebox for under $300?

Is there a way to make a wavebox for under $300? One similar to Tunze, not one that makes a loud click sound every time it turns back on like most DIY ones?

dont know about building one, or buying one, but i think that wave timers on powerheads are better than the sloshing water of a wave box.

Try doing a search for DIY Wavebox. It was at least a couple years back now, but I'd swear there was a thread about somebody having made one. I believed he'd used a modded Maxi Jet.

Yeah, I've found a few, but they usually use an ac pump such as the Maxi jet and those make a nasty click sound every time they cycle back on.
